Deepti Thapar, M.D.

Dr. Thapar grew up in India and was a practicing radiologist in New Delhi before coming to the United States.  After her arrival into the United States, she passed her medical licensure exams.  She also gained valuable experience about the clinical practice of medicine in this country.  She also worked as senior clinical research assistant at the Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia.  She worked closely on trials of newer medications to prevent progression of diabetic kidney disease in patients.  She believes in developing longterm relationships with patients and encourages them to get actively involved in their care.  She is attracted to family medicine, as it gives her an opportunity to make a meaningful differece in people's lives and promote disease prevention.  In her spare time, she enjoys spending quality time with her family and loves to go outdoors.  She has a beautiful daughter, Mehek, who is the love of her life.
